They tried this same shit a year ago until it was pointed out to them that this is sooooooo fucking ILLEGAL under Michigan Minimum Wage Law. Part of me is disappointed. Part of me is relieved. The Iris Dement concert at the Ark is sold out. We didn't get tickets. On the other hand, our budget really can't afford even tickets to the Ark right now. The long dreaded Northwestern Connector project has begun in earnest. When it is finished we will be surrounded by eleven traffic roundabouts with only one route of escape from the area that doesn't include at least one. I said months ago that the last guy they hired for the maintenance department wouldn't make it through snow season. They canned him today. Now it's just Paul and his supervisor again. One week oncall. One week off. Until gods know when.
